The Horrific Highway To Hell!
It’s 2:am on the 25th of April 1915. I just got into the landing boat. I’m crammed in there like a can of sardines. There were 25 soldiers in the boat with me. The two guys next to me were stoked. I just could not understand why! The men were quieter than mice. I had adrenaline pumping through my veins. I had butterflies in my stomach. I could smell fear all around me. I was petrified.
There was about one kilometer left till we reached the shore. We were so close to the landing zone. The only light I could see was the moon and that was it. Suddenly, the moon dipped behind the clouds. I could not see a thing! I was so scared! I was breathing heavily.
Suddenly, out of the blue…... BANG!...... Bullets were flying everywhere. I held my gun like it was my heart.
I hate this Highway to Hell I thought. Sadly, my friend Ali next to me got shot in his stomach. I saw part of his guts on the floor. Blood was gushing from him. I could not look. I was so depressed. My best friend just died in front of me! Oww! I felt a sharp pain in my head. I did not know what had happened. I did not know what horrors lay ahead…..

Reflection
I am learning to write an interesting recount.
I am so proud of using paragraphs in my recount.
It can be tricky to the right adjectives for the right sentence.
My buddy can help me by checking my work.
The next step for me in my learning is to write an even better recount.
